My Client is seeking a certified NDT level III for this challenging opportunity:
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assure all work is performed completely, correctly, and with the highest degree of quality in accordance with and adhering to customer specified and NADCAP specifications, processes and procedures.
- Assure all work is properly documented, whether accepted or rejected.
- Set-up and calibrate equipment, interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable standards and specifications and maintain clean and professional NDT area.
- Maintenance and Calibration of internal ovens.
- Responsible for maintaining and up keeping solution titrations for Passivation and other chemical processing tanks.
- Responsible for maintaining and up keeping all logs and certification of all processed parts.
- Create and approve NDT, Chemical Processing and Heat Treat Techniques as required.
- Supervise, train and monitor all in house Level I and Level II Technicians to maintain their NADCAP certifications and approvals.

We are seeking a Quality Manager for a food manufacturer on Long Island.
This position is a hands on position responsible for recommending, developing and implementing a Plant Quality System to ensure process and product quality consistent with company objectives. This position directs the daily operations of the Quality Assurance function through quality leadership to uphold company policies, formulas, specifications and regulatory requirements, as well as ensures that all finished product meets product quality as well as food safety standards. This position reports directly to the General Plant Manager with no direct reports.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and maintain plant quality system
Lead the food safety, technical services and laboratory functions on all shifts.
Ensure compliance to state, federal, and local regulations.
Assure efficient and accurate testing, reporting, and monitoring of product safety and quality.
Develop and facilitate internal audits to determine/assess compliance to company policy and regulatory requirements.
Maintain systems for checking and verifying process compliance, including but not limited to SPC, HACCP, Quality Systems, Formula Control to provide production departments with tools necessary for daily operations.
Ensure effective food safety and quality training for plant team members.
Maintain a safe working environment.
Advise the plant management team on quality trends within the process and recommend appropriate corrective action.
Advise the plant management on matters of quality, process instruction, formulas, specifications and protocol requirements, as may be required to promote high product quality standard.
Develop and facilitate internal audits to maintain product quality.
Manage plant pest control programs, as appropriate.

Manages the Material Safety Data Sheet process to ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies, (e.g. DOT, Prop 65, VOC, IMDG, SARA etc.) Develops and performs Environmental Training as required. Develops and distributes various communications to all levels of the organization. Ensures all goals are communicated to the ESH team to reduce regulatory risk. Conducts and works cross functionally with the tax department to distribute on a quarterly basis the State Petroleum tax report. Develops and implements policies and procedures related to environmental compliance. Directs the organization in reduction of environmental risks such as Lead, Hazardous Waste, Mercury, ODC, VOC, and more. Ensures all locations are compliant with Hazardous Material Shipping. Tests and implements all environmental and hazardous material software at required locations. Manages all aspects of the Quick item Add Process. Responsible for responding to Environmental Questionnaires sent by Customers and Suppliers. Responsible for maintaining National Fire Protection Requirements at all required MSC locations. Performs all duties inherent in the role of an MSC Supervisor as defined in the MSC Code of Conduct including hiring, termination, review and development of associates. Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
